Bitten by the painting bug

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a number of wargamers on Twitter using the hash tag #MiniatureMonday. The exact origins of it are unknown to me, but the point of it is to use it on (as the name says) Mondays to showcase your latest painting work. Modelling and unfinished miniatures are allowed, but finished is always preferred. As I’ve said before on this blog I’m not exactly a huge fan of painting, but this new phenomenon somehow managed to push me over the edge.

It all started with my Grey Knights Librarian, but as my area for spray painting miniatures is temporarily unavailable I soon moved on to my Knights Sanguine. With next #MiniatureMonday only a few days away I’ve decided to paint up my Captain and his Command Squad and, if time permits, their Razorback. As this new infatuation with painting has coincided with my Doctor Who marathon I can’t paint as many miniatures a week as I’d like, but I think I should be able to finish up the first playable 1,000 points of my Knights Sanguine in just over a month or so.
